Looking to keep the MARC dialogue going after formal sessions end? Attend one of our unofficial Power Hours! Choose from a range of relevant topics and unique locations. The Power Hours are fun and exciting opportunities to engage in interesting conversations and network with other attendees. The true embodiment of Foward Momentum! All Power Hours will take place Monday, June 8 from 4:30-6:00pm at various locations near the Capitol Square.

The New Energy Politics: Affordability, Reliability, and Voter Expectations

This Power Hour conversation will explore how the politics surrounding energy policy are changing. Panelists will discuss affordability, reliability, infrastructure investment, and the growing visibility of energy policy in elections and public discourse as voters head to the polls this summer and fall. Panel discussion will begin at 5:15 pm.

Join the Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) and ReliabilityFirst with special guests from America’s Power and the Citizens Utility Board of Wisconsin to discuss resource adequacy, 202(c) orders, and the impact of public policy on grid reliability. Come share your perspectives on these important issues with other energy professionals and discuss solutions for the evolving challenges of grid reliability.

The Art of Engagement

Join us for a frank discussion on how community engagement efforts in utility and regulatory processes have succeeded and where they’ve fallen short. Big Grid vs. Little Grid

Join us for a friendly debate followed by a group discussion about the challenges, innovations, and opportunities of transmission and distribution grids.  The Big Grid will be advocated for by Maurice Moss, Senior Director of Central Regional Electricity & Transmission Policy at American Clean Power. Speaking for the distributed side will be Allison Bates Wannop, Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Wholesale Markets at Sparkfund.
